This is the second in a series of posts I’ll be doing on building your own website to make money online. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is that you learn some basic seo and wordpress skills before you start building your websites.  Following a good seo beginners guide will not only save you a lot of time but it’ll also get you more traffic which means you’ll make more money online faster than if you just go into it blindly.

Like I said in my first article on this subject, I didn’t have a plan and didn’t learn any seo for beginners and it cost me a lot of time and grief.  That said if you want to start building your own websites and slowly transitioning from taking surveys or getting paid to surf the internet I recommend you start studying how to build your websites and learning seo for beginners.

It seems like in every other area of life learning history is important so that you know how we got to the current, common seo practices and why some of them work and why some of them don’t work.

Admittedly I’m not a big history buff but I did find the chapters on the history of seo in Smart Seo interesting and helpful in explaining why we do the seo techniques we do.  Don’t worry though you can breeze through the history of seo chapter fast, learn a little and then get onto the important chapters about setting up your website and making sure the seo is optimized to bring in the traffic and start making money online from your website.  After all, that is what you’re all reading this for.

Yes, Smart Seo is a great seo guide for beginners that is fully updated for 2012 and will help you build a great website.  Just remember that no matter how much you learn in a beginners seo guide if you don’t build a site people want to use your not going to have much success.

For those of you reading this and thinking I already know more than the beginners level of seo, don’t worry there are plenty of advanced tips in later chapters and the seo tools it teaches how to use make Smart Seo well worth the price of the book. This book is much more than just a seo beginners guide.

- I received this email from a friend who knew I’d tried cash texts. He isn’t impressed.  I personally had mixed results and then moved on.

An alternative to this system I have found however lies in taking those paid surveys and marketing with my Facebook account.

Browsing Facebook on the bus on my smart phone never made me money until now. I am able to make money just by signing in through my existing Facebook account. The signup process was extremely simple and I was getting paid in no time.  It starts a little slow the first day but after that it’s amazing.  I look forward to my time on the bus now, lol!

Now that I have access to paid surveys and more, I can even make my commute profitable and make money on my way to work. I know how and when I will be paid and I am not waiting on some hopeless payout limit that I can never achieve. I don’t feel taken advantage of doing online surveys because I am reimbursed for the time that I put into it. I put a stop on the cash texts and have switched primarily to getting paid for online surveys.

I would recommend taking cash surveys online to anyone, and strongly encourage you to avoid all cash text and text for cash websites. They are a scam to simply expose you to advertising, you cannot earn money with cash for text reading websites.”
